The GovernmentOfficeannounced Notification 330/TB-VPCPon Tuesday, September 15^th, 2020 as follows:

          Viet Nam will resume 6 international air routes: to Guangzhou (China), Taiwan (China), Seoul (the Republic of Korea), Tokyo (Japan) from September 15^th, 2020, and to Phnom Penh (Cambodia) and Vientiane (Laos) from September 22^nd, 2020.

          I.Conditions for entry into Vietnam on commercial flights from 6 countries and territories (excluding people in transit from a third country):

          1. Foreigners holding  diplomatic or official passports and their family members:

          a) Must have a certificate of negative SARS-CoV-2 RT-PCR test result issued by the competent health authority of host country within 3 days prior to departure (except for some areas where the authority does not issue this type of paper).

          b) Get an RT-PCR test immediately after entry at the quarantine areas.

          c) Undergo quarantine in the premises of diplomatic missions or hotels, accommodation establishments in accordance with regulations.

          2. Foreigners who are experts, investors, business managers, high-skilled workers, and their family members; students; relatives of Vietnamese citizens:

          a) Must have a certificate of negative SARS-CoV-2 RT-PCR test result issued by the competent health authority of the host country within 3 days prior to departure (except for some areas where the authority does not issue this type of paper).

          b) Get an RT-PCR test immediately after entry at the quarantine areas.

          c) Undergo quarantineat factories, corporate headquarters or hotels, accommodation establishments in accordance with regulations.

          3. Vietnamese citizens:  

          a) Must have a certificate of negative SARS-CoV-2 RT-PCR test result issued by the competent health authority of the host country within 3 days prior to departure (except for some areas where the authority does not issue this type of paper).

          b) Get an RT-PCR test immediately after entry at the quarantine areas.

          c) Undergo quarantine at army-run quarantine camps or at hotels and accommodation establishments in accordance with regulations.

          II. Subjects who transit from a third country to Vietnam on international commercial flights:

          1. Apply strict epidemic prevention measures, ensuring safety.

          2. Get an RT-PCR test immediately after entry at the quarantine areas.

          3. Regarding quarantine:

          Foreigners holding  diplomatic or official passports and their family members undergo quarantine in official residence of diplomatic missions or hotels, accommodation establishments in accordance with regulations.

          Vietnamese citizens undergo quarantine at military-run quarantine camps or at hotels or accommodation establishments in accordance with regulations.

          The subjects mentioned in this Clause must undergo 14 days of concentrated isolation in accordance with regulations, except for special cases under the direction of a competent authority.

          4. In case foreigners who enter Vietnam to work less than 14 days must comply with regulations of the Ministry of Health.
